(Shakespeare Hamlet III,iv)
I got my University Degree in Foreign Languages and Literature (English, French and Spanish) by the University Alma Mater Studiorum di Bologna on the 28th November 1980, getting full marks and honors (110/110 cum laude) with a new and innovative thesis about the Applied Semiotics and a Dissertation on "The synecdoche of the ear in Hamlet and Macbeth by W. Shakespeare".
Full Professor: prof. Paola Gullì Pugliatti
Co-Examiner: prof. Romana Zacchi
Examiner: prof. Mario Mancini
The new idea was due to the application of the Semiotic analysis to the two above-mentioned tragedies by Shakespeare.
In order to achieve my purpose I attended for a full academic year Umberto Eco's courses with a final written thesis and a oral dissertation on Semiotics and Rhetoric with Prof. Umberto Eco himself, getting full marks.
In 1980 I decide to devote myself to the teaching career and therefore I start a long updating path with seminars meant to deepen and practice the most updated linguistic - didactic methodologies in which the student is set at the centre of the learning process according to the principles of the "Functional-Notional communicative approach".
